There is more to cultural dances than their beauty and performance. This session will break down the "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of Cultural Dances of 2 of the 10 Regions of Ghana, an English speaking country that also maintains the 47 dialects of their local languages. Dances have gestures that have meanings. They tell a story or send a message to those who are viewing the dances. You will experience the "correct protocol" for performing to an audience, as you must acquire the respectful permission of the Elders present, as well as the Royalty, if any are present. This will be an exciting experience as the students will perform a cultural example and they you will LEARN a cultural dance.
